I caved into the Birchbox trend a few months ago back in January in a bid to fill my bathroom shelf with some new and exciting beauty products. I'd managed to mess up my details for the first month so unfortunately didn't receive it. With Birchbox you can sign up for 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or a year, with the bigger your subscription, the bigger the saving!  I've subscribed for 6 months just to see what all of the fuss is about and to get a feel for the different products you receive each month.

Birch box April Edition, Beauty Blogger

For April, Birchbox have teamed up with Boden and have created the most beautifully printed box which now takes pride of place on my dressing table. This month we're sampling a ModelCo Black Eye Liner, Manna Kadar Cosmetics Split Pan Bronzer and Highlighter, Polaar IcePure Gentle Scrub, Seiche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat & Baja Paris Créme Moana in Fleur de Tiara.

April Edition Birchbox, Beauty Blogger

This month Birchbox gave you the option to select the Manna Kadar Cosmetics Bronzer and Highlighter Duo or their high definition powder. Naturally, being a magpie for defined cheekbones, I opted for the Bronzer and Highlighter duo. The bronzer is a lot more pigmented than your normal bronzer, and more like a contour powder, however used sparsely, it creates the most beautiful glow and definition. RRP £17

ModelCo have teamed up with Birchbox for their second full sized product this month. I've been using a liquid eye liner for as long as a remember, mainly because the tip is fine enough for my uneven flicks to remain mostly unnoticeable., but for the purpose of Birchibox I braved playing around with ModelCo's crayon eyeliner behind closed curtains. It's perfect for a smokey eye, as the tip does have the tendency to loose its shape after the first few uses. Simply draw and smudge into your lash line for an intensified smokey eye makeup look. RRP £11

Polar Ice Pure Gentle Scrub both smooths and softens the skin with it's powerhouse ingredients, Arctic cotton. As far as exfoliators go, it's more cream than exfoliating beads, but for day to day use, this is perfect as it doesn't irritate or pull away at your skin and can be used morning and night. RRP £23.59

Baîja Paris' Créme Moarna in Fleru de Tiaré does nothing less than transport you from your cold British April-time bathroom to a tropical hot beach. This smells amazing! "A combination of coconut oil, shea butter, cupuaçu, and jojoba wax – this lotion is brimming with sunshine-ready ingredients to nourish dry skin." RRP £15.90

April BirchBox, Beauty Blogger Review

Not even being ashamed to admit it, I've been layering my nails with those all-nasty acrylic extensions for over three years and topping with Gel! Due to the fact that my nails brake so easily and nail polish seems to just fall off my natural nail, I opted to have extensions and infills every 3-4 weeks, to keep my nails looking acceptable and pristine during work meetings. This unfortunately means I'm unable to make use of the Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat which completes my April Birchbox. However if you're craving that perfect at-home-mani, then you can purchase this bottle of clear liquid for RRP £9
