Over the past few years, mainly down to work, I've picked up a few bad habits when it comes to my diet. The main problem being my urging need for a strong cup of coffee with a hit of sugar first thing in the morning, and the a pre bed time glass of wine to wind down in the evening. My bad choice in drinks, alongside an unruly eating pattern that has no routine what so ever has finally caught up, and my energy levels are at rock bottom.

Super Green Protein Smoothie with Almond Butter

I decided to take the plunge and strip out sugars and bad fats for a small period, just to help reset all of my functionality buttons. I won't go into too much detail in this post, but I wanted to share this amazing recipe for a super boosted green smoothie, which is my new get up and go cocktail. It might look pretty rank to those who don't follow any health or food bloggers, and hurl at the sight of anything that's this green, but please trust me, it tastes bloody delicious! In fact, it tastes like a McDonalds Banana Milkshake, but only contains 230 calories and will boost up your energy levels to get through the morning.
