My go-to morning protein power smoothie.

My go-to morning protein power smoothie.

I decided to take the plunge and strip out sugars and bad fats for a small period, just to help reset all of my functionality buttons. I won't go into too much detail in this post, but I wanted to share this amazing recipe for a super boosted green smoothie, which is my new get up and go cocktail. It might look pretty rank to those who don't follow any health or food bloggers, and hurl at the sight of anything that's this green, but please trust me, it tastes bloody delicious! In fact, it tastes like a McDonalds Banana Milkshake, but only contains 230 calories and will boost up your energy levels to get through the morning.

New Gin On The Block

A marble and gold bar cart-worthy bottle of gin has just launched itself in a handful of farm-shops, bars and restaurants. Pin Gin is Lincolnshire's very first and only handcrafted distilled gin in the whole of the county. For those that don't know, Lincolnshire is pretty much the county the world forgot and headed straight to Yorkshire for all of the fabulous things it's tourism board and historical city has to offer. For those passing through, Lincolnshire is mostly fields with pops of towns and small villages dotted around the North, East, South and West of the County.

Glossy Box April

I vowed that 2017 would be the year which I start to take my skincare routine a little more seriously, as the road to 30 is less than a year away, and it's a well known fact that skin doesn't get any younger.

After taking a break from spending copious amounts of money on makeup and skincare when I lived in London a few years ago, in January I decided to take the plunge and commit to a beauty box or two. I was fed up of my non-adventours beauty shelves looking bare and running out of shampoo and conditioner mid-shower...

Birchbox April

I caved into the Birchbox trend a few months ago back in January in a bid to fill my bathroom shelf with some new and exciting beauty products. I'd managed to mess up my details for the first month so unfortunately didn't receive it. With Birchbox you can sign up for 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or a year, with the bigger your subscription, the bigger the saving!  I've subscribed for 6 months just to see what all of the fuss is about and to get a feel for the different products you receive each month.

Where to Visit this May

Peru.

May has to be one of the best months to visit Peru, the rain season has ended but the land is still green and lush, with main holiday-goers not arriving until June and July. Tackling the Inca Trail is the best way to see the Lost City of the Incas, but make sure you plan ahead and book your trail as permits are needed a month in advance! Tours and Hikes cover 26 miles over 4 days. Leave your tent and sleeping bag for an hour or two's hike up Machu Picchu in the darkness for an unforgettable misty sunrise...

Packing Light for a Cold, Winter Holiday

Wear your thickest clothes on the plane

Aeroplane’s are notoriously cool, so don’t be afraid to layer up and save on that all-essential space and weight limited in your case. Although it’s a bit of a nightmare going through the scanners at the airport and having to remove most items, if you’re an over packer and have plenty of time to kill in the airport, it’s worth the extra space you’ll save!
